SC302: Mill Cove Estuary and Woodland
Thick woods line a huge meadow and estuary flowing into Campobello's Mill Cove. Waterfowl and a diversity of other wildlife are naturally driven to this beautiful site--perfect for a private home with easy access to the beach and ocean at Mill Cove. Price: $89,000 USD (including Canadian HST)
Accessed from Mill Cove Road. This 134 acre parcel is mostly tree covered with mature growth, with some high elevated ocean view areas. The property is dominated by a beautiful estuary and meadow--and plenty of wildlife.
Here is a stopover for migrating birds, home to a multitude of bird species, bog and woodland flowers. Deer and moose frequent the area. Osprey fish in the tidal stream within the marsh, as do eagles. Beavers live in a hut across the road.
The stream meanders under a small bridge and leads to Mill Cove, a short walk to the beach and sea--where fishermen build and fish herring weirs. Across the marsh from the road are small granite cliffs, worthy of a painting. Above the marsh is mature tree growth, overlooking the soft hues of the marsh grass, wildlife, and stream. Power and telephone are roadside.

Campobello Island
Campobello Island is a Canadian Island accessed by a bridge from Lubec Maine. Campobello is probably best known as the summer residence of Roosevelt which is now a historical park area. The island enjoys a year round population employed by the fishing industry. However, the area is increasingly being discovered by American’s as the perfect summer residence. The beautiful summer climate, magnificent parks, lovely golf course and majestic terrain and views are clearly hard to resist. When coupled with the close to proximity to the US, and substantially lower real estate prices, the continuing investment by US citizens is certain to continue.
